Mike Quu Nov. 12

Originally from Long Island, Mike Quu delivers big laughs to anyone and everyone at this one-night-only special event. He’s been honing his craft since the 7th grade, though he started performing stand-up professionally years later in NYC. With years of experience under his belt, Mike Quu brings an energy and effervescence to the stage unlike anyone else. His newest endeavor can be found on Amazon Prime, he can also be found regularly hosting The Comedy Madness Show on Monday nights at The Comedy Store, one of Hollywood’s longest-running stand-up shows.
Mike also hosts an innovative podcast called Teach Me I’m Stupid, in which he becomes educated about trending topics by interivewing leading world experts in each subject area, including NYTimes best-selling authors, multi-millionaires, FBI agents, and behavioral psychologists. Jodi White Nov. 13-17

No stranger to the stage, Jodi White brings her own pair of balls when she enters the room and makes sure everyone knows it. She’s bold, brassy and hilarious. After three kids and currently on her fourth marriage, she has plenty of life experience to work with, turning it into sensational material for her show.

Besides performing at comedy festivals across the U.S. and Canada, Jodi has also been featured in Today’s Woman Magazine and has been seen on the Nick Jr. Channel- NickMom’s Nite Out, Fox TV’s Laughs, Nashville Live, and the series Island Hoppers with James Van Der Beek. Catch Jodi this week live at McCurdy’s from Wed-Sun, Nov. 13-17.

 

Suncoast Blood Bank Fundraiser Nov. 17

If you choose to catch Jodi’s show on Sunday night, you’ll be in for a treat! Prior to her show, we’ll be hosting the Suncoast Blood Bank’s annual fundraiser, complete with local celebrity bartenders, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction from 5:30-6:00. Then stick around for some quality comedy to round out your evening!

The Suncoast Blood Bank has been serving the Sarasota area for over 70 years, providing safe and reliable blood products, cancer treatments and research to benefit local patients. Come support a worthy, local cause and enjoy an evening of comedy and fun!

 

Open Mic Night Nov. 13

On Wednesday evening, be sure to stick around in our Green Room Lounge after Jodi’s show for our Open Mic Night. Beginning at 9pm, this show features 10 amateur comedians performing 5 minute sets. Some professionals even stop by occasionally to work on new material. This is a great chance to see raw talent in its early stages! There’s no cover or minimum purchase, but audience members must be 18 with a valid picture ID.

 

Off The Clock Interview Nov. 14

If you stop by on Thursday evening, you’ll enjoy a bonus treat when Les McCurdy joins the comedians on-stage for our Off The Clock interview. This 15-20 minute interview with the comedians is a great way for audience members to get to know them more personally. There’s also a Q & A portion with the audience, so bring your questions about who they are, where they come from and how they got started in comedy!
