Whiskey, Cancer+ Bad Decisions

If you haven’t heard of Derek Richards yet, it’s okay. It’s not your fault. We don’t blame you. It could be because you’re not on tour with the U.S. Army, or possibly because you’re not hanging out in Las Vegas as often as Derek. Maybe you haven’t checked Sirius XM lately. Whatever your reason, we’re willing to forgive you and let you off the hook when you stop by McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre this week to see Derek’s show live and rectify this oversight. And you’ll be glad you did.

Derek Richards has been performing for American troops throughout Iraq, Afghanistan and more than 15 countries. In fact, he was one of the first comedians invited to perform in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, just after the base began guarding jailed Al-Qaeda terrorists, earning him a mention in Newsweek. He recently self-published his first book, Whiskey, Cancer and Bad Decisions, which is available now on Amazon, Kindle and Audible.

But that’s not the only way to catch this hilarious Detroit-born Irish Catholic in the act. Derek now resides in Las Vegas, performing regularly on the Strip. He’s been seen and heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio Network, Pandora, Comedy Central, The Tom Shilue Show on Fox, News Radio Network and the Anthony Cumia Show with Dave Landau. And of course, you can catch his show this week from September 25th to 29th when he headlines at McCurdy’s.

With a fast, fresh style that feels like you’ve sidled up to the funniest guy at the bar. Derek will tell you relatable stories that you think you know, but you’ve never heard this one before. He’s done some stuff, he’s seen some stuff, and he’s ready to tell you all about it. And once you’ve heard it, you won’t forget. You’ll now be among those who can say, “I saw Derek Richards!” Find out for yourself why Derek Richards should be more well known when you stop by McCurdy’s this week. Then help a guy out and tell your friends.
