Welcome Back Kotter

This week our theatre is hopping with tons of shows and events and we can’t wait to bring you some top-notch comedy!

First, we’re beginning and ending the week with our very own Les McCurdy and Ken Sons as comedy duo, The Bermuda Mavericks. Having known each other since childhood, Les and Ken bring a special dynamic to the stage with razor sharp timing and clean material that’s tailored to each audience. While they’ve toured with comedy greats such as Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Chris Rock, The Smothers Brothers and Bob Newhart, as well as musical acts like Kenny Rogers, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffet, and Alabama, to name a few, you might know Les and Ken better as local businessmen who take their comedy seriously. Les is the founder of McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre and Ken is an award-winning filmmaker who has been teaching comedy for over 20 years. Catch the act that is easily one of the most unique shows touring the US and Canada this week on January 9th and 13th.

Gabe Kaplan, most often recognized as Gabe Kotter from the hit series, Welcome Back, Kotter, will be making an appearance for one night only to a sold-out crowd this week. If you missed him this time around, be sure to watch for a return show in the future!

Finally, be sure to catch Jeff Dye at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre January 11-12. This nationally-known comedian brings a down-to-earth sense of love and positivity through laughter to everyone he encounters, and his audiences across the country are no exception. A sense of self-awareness and a joy for the world around him results in feel-good comedy that’s fun, upbeat and downright hysterical.

Jeff became a professional comedian right out of high school, winning third place on NBC’s Last Comic Standing only 3 years into his career. He continues to build his career with his newest endeavor is as the star of NBC’s new comedy adventure series, Better Late Than Never. This exciting project follows the travels of Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman as Jeff creates for them the adventure of a lifetime. NBC has fast tracked season two after the show became a summer smash hit!

In addition to these exciting credentials, Jeff has also appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has had his own Comedy Central Presents special. He’s also been involved in several TV projects, like Money From Strangers, Girl Code, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and NBC’s I Can Do That.

This special event is just one of many incredible headliners this year, so keep checking back to learn more about upcoming shows and a year full of fantastic comedy!
