This is a big week at McCurdy’s! We are once again hosting the Regional World Series of Comedy!

Ready for the best part? When you visit McCurdy’s this week as an audience member, you will actually participate in sending one of the comics you experience further along in the competition. AUDIENCE VOTING is an essential part of the process- YOUR VOTE is included with judges’ overall votes for the funniest comedian around!

While most weeks we host two to three professional touring comedians, this week you will be enjoying anywhere from five to ten professionals any given night Wednesday through Friday. The competition narrows down to the top four or five finalists on the big finale Saturday night where the winner will be chosen.

Sunday night sees Joe Lower, the producer of the entire national event, headlining his own show which is hilarious!

Joe began the World Series of Comedy in 2003 as a means of helping gifted comedians with the toughest part of show business- landing gigs. The winner of the World Series of Comedy wins 35-50 weeks of work all over the U.S. and Canada, giving them exposure and more opportunities to launch their career than ever before.

The Main Event will take place at the Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana during the last week in September.

We receive hundreds, if not thousands, of video clips, but only the best ones are invited to the regional competition. Be sure to come out and see some of the best talent in Southeast Florida and choose who will move on this year!  We’re not only looking forward to sharing this event with you; we’re counting on you to make it amazing.
