Straight Outta Brooklyn

Whatever you do, don’t ask Brian Scolaro about his formative years. You won’t get a straight story. You might learn about his cure for “sight,” his mother the ghost pimp, and most likely, he will try to sell you garbage from under a bridge. Despite his eclectic and completely untrue upbringing, Brian has turned out to be an acclaimed comedian and actor who has been sharing his unique, inventive style of comedy with audiences and screens alike for years.

Brooklyn-born Brian Scolaro got his start at the The Comedy Cellar in NYC, and he is most known for his appearances on Conan, his half hour Comedy Central special Comedy Central Present: Brian Scolaro, as Doug on TBS’s Sullivan and Son, and as Stuart on FOX’s Stacked. He has received rave reviews for these roles and tons of positive feedback from professionals in the industry.

Brian has also appeared on Dexter, Mad Men, Bones, Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, The Middle, Superior Donuts, I’m Dying Up Here, Shameless, A Million Little Things, Alone Together, Harry’s Law, Men of a Certain Age, The Exes, Girl Meets World, Truth Be Told, and has also had recurring roles on The Kroll Show,  Life and Times of Tim,  and Wizards of Waverly Place, as well as a regular role as Gordon on NBC’s Three Sisters.

He has gone on to share his original yet old-school style of stand up on Conan, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Gotham City Live, Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham, Comics Unleashed. His very own half hour special, Comedy Central Presents: Brian Scolaro, still airs multiple times a year and is one of their popular downloads on Comedy Central’s iTunes page.

This week is your opportunity to discover the talent that is Brian Scolaro, from May 8-12. Come see for yourself why Brian has made such an impression on Hollywood and the rest of the country when you see him live this week at McCurdy’s!
