This week, we are delighted to welcome Helen Keaney to our stage and let you experience her fearless style of comedy bits, hilarious stories, and off-the-cuff improvisation. She can banter with an audience, making each show unique and individualized. She talks about life, work, and motherhood in real terms, saying out loud what we’re all actually thinking. Her hilarious looks at everyday life will make you glad you came and begging for more.

You may recognize this week’s headliner from her many TV and movie appearances. With multiple sitcoms, commercials, and stand-up TV shows under her belt, Helen has earned her marks as a veteran actress and comedian. Her career began in New York City, honing her comedic skills at The Boston Comedy Club and The Comic Strip. She was quickly noticed by TV executives and began her TV co-hosting Short Attention Span Theater on Comedy Central. A fateful vacation to Los Angeles resulted in her position as co-host on The Big Day, based on the British sitcom, The Big Breakfast. Soon after, she landed a deal with Disney and had guests spots on NBC’s The John Larroquette Show, HBO’s Not Necessarily the News with Dennis Miller, and USA’s Lost On Earth. Helen’s resume also includes voice overs, multiple commercials, television hosting gigs and even a few movie credits such as Tooth Fairy 2 with Larry the Cable Guy. She’s currently a host on prime time HSN.

But Helen truly showcases her talent on stage as a stand up comedian. Appearances include A&E’s An Evening At The Improv, Lifetime’s Girl’s Night Out, VH-1’s Stand-up Spotlight, NBC’s Friday Night, Comedy Central’s Make Me Laugh, and Nick at Night’s Mom’s Night Out.Come out this week, May 22-26, to catch Helen Keaney and her hilarious comedic genius, only at McCurdy’s!
