Just For Laughs

In this world full sarcasm and bitterness, it’s refreshing to find someone as genuinely funny and kind as Josh Sneed. His comedy is infused with a sense “live and let live” while still observing the comedy in daily situations. Josh’s is a laid back style of observational comedy as he admittedly loves people watching and in fact gains much of his material from simply sitting back and paying attention to how people behave around him. After much reflection, he is decidedly not a fan of garage salers, ex-girlfriends and the Amish. But he has plenty to say about obesity and duel-fast-food establishments (Long John Silver’s AND KFC?!).

Josh discovered his calling to become a stand-up comedian when he became a bigger hit at the water cooler than in his actual work with Proctor and Gamble. Realizing he needed to give his humor a context and a place to thrive, rather than letting it fall on deaf ears out in the real world, Josh began his stand-up career and hasn’t looked back.

He performed at the 2004 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and made his TV debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. In 2007, Josh was chosen by Comedy Central to perform in the inaugural South Beach Comedy Festival. In 2008, Josh came in 2nd out of 100 Comedy Central top comedians in Annual Stand-Up Showdown Competition, and he’s released the album “Unacceptable,” which iTunes has named one of the Top 10 Comedy Albums released. In 2009, Josh received praise from Punchline Magazine for his Aspen Comedy Festival performance, and he’s a favorite on “The Bob & Tom Show” and gets regular airplay on Sirius/XM radio. Josh performs for clubs and private and public events all around the country.

Josh currently lives in Cincinnati with his wife, 2 kids and pug named Jack, but this week, from Wednesday through Sunday, Josh will be performing at McCurdy’s and we can’t wait to share his clean, hilarious comedy with you. Thursday night, in particular, our show will be a fundraiser for the Council for Exceptional Children. The CEC is an international community of professionals who serve as the voice and vision of special and gifted education. Their mission is to improve, through excellence and advocacy, the education and quality of life for children and youth with exceptionalities.

Be sure to join us this week, February 20-24, to see Josh Sneed live and Thursday, February 21st, to help contribute to the fundraiser for the Council for Exceptional Children!
