Guitar Hero

Combine music, satire, and parody into one rip-roaring comedy act and what do you get? Dennis Blair, of course! Dennis got his start by touring with Rodney Dangerfield for more than three years and toured with George Carlin for over 18 years.

Stepping out from under the tutelage of these greats, Dennis has become a regular renaissance man. As an accomplished screenwriter, award-winning songwriter and comedic actor, Dennis has appeared on The Tonight Show multiple times and won an Emmy Award for both writing and voice overs in the animated film, “Confessions of a Stand-up.” He has also appeared on HBO, co-hosted the Stephanie Miller Radio Show with Elayne Booster, and has entertained everywhere from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

While his observational comedy is sure to make you laugh, the real fun begins when Dennis breaks out his guitar. Re-writing some of music’s most famous songs, Dennis uses the element of surprise to crack you up and bring a fresh spin to every classic. Drawing from favorites like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix you know and love, you’ve never heard music covered quite like this. Come see Dennis Blair recount various topical observations, parody your favorite musicians and make you laugh like none other this week (September 12-16) at McCurdy’s Theatre!
