June 26-30 Nancy Norton
Headlining this week at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre is the very funny, always impressive Nancy Norton! As the first female comedian to win the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, Nancy’s success hinges largely on her witty timing and fast-paced shows full of universal truths. Also appearing at comedy clubs across the nation and on various TV showcases, Nancy has made a name for herself in the world of comedy. Some of her most known accolades include Evening at the Improv on A&E, her one-woman show The Yellowish-Green Girl on PBS, and as a featured guest on Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out. After working for years as a nurse, Nancy is full of stories from the world of health care that will keep you in stitches and wanting to stay well! Come out and see what makes this down-to-earth woman so hilarious, this week from Wednesday-Sunday at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre!
June 25- Wigs & Wit
Join us at 8pm for Wigs & Wits– a battle of wits that will end with the audience’s favorite comedian winning a cash prize after a head-to-head showdown between the area’s funniest comedians and most fabulous drag queens.
June 26- Open Mic Night
Test your improv skills at our Open Mic Night! Be sure to sign up in advance and prepare your 5 minute set. Open Mic Night is every Wednesday all summer, so get ready for some summer fun and bring your friends!
June 26 Manatee Legacy Basketball Team – Fundraiser
Come out to support this local basketball team’s trip to their National Tournament this week! Headliner Nancy Norton will perform, following a special performance by Coach Geno The Garbage Man. Have a very entertaining evening and help The Manatee Legacy Basketball Team go all the way to Nationals!
June 27 Samaritan Counseling Services- Fundraiser
The proceeds from this evening’s performance will go to benefit Samaritan Counseling Services, a spiritually-integrated professional counseling service that seeks to offer services to those in need of counseling without the means to pay for services. Ticket price includes a one-hour pre-show reception with complimentary food and cash bar.
